Loose cable is a symptom, not a complete diagnosis
Garage door cables work with the spring and drum system to lift the door. Slack can appear because of cable damage, drum issues, uneven door position, spring failure, or other mechanical problems.
Do not pull, cut, or re-tension the cable yourself. The system can move suddenly when load changes.
Use cable and track repair if a cable is loose, frayed, or displaced.
