Monthly visual and operating checks
- Watch the door travel from fully closed to fully open.
- Listen for new scraping, grinding, popping, or squealing.
- Check whether the door remains level as it moves.
- Keep the sensor path clear and lenses clean.
- Look at weather seals for cracking or gaps.
Periodic visual inspection
- Look for frayed cable strands without touching the cable.
- Check visible rollers for cracks or obvious wear.
- Look for bent track or fasteners that appear loose.
- Check panels and hinges for deformation.
Do not perform adjustment work on springs, cables, bottom brackets, or an unstable off-track door.
