Start by separating remote problems from opener problems
If the wall control still operates the door, the issue may be limited to the remote, its battery, programming, range, or radio communication. If neither control works, the opener or power supply may be the better place to look.
Basic checks
- Replace the remote battery if appropriate.
- Check whether the wall control has a lock/vacation mode enabled.
- Try operating the remote from a normal distance inside the garage.
- Check whether the opener itself has power.
