Weather seals help close the gaps around the door
Bottom and perimeter seals help limit dust, light, pests, and outside air entering around a closed garage door. Arizona heat can harden and crack exposed seal material over time.
Signs the seal needs attention
- Visible cracks, splits, or missing sections.
- Daylight showing under or around the closed door.
- A bottom seal that has flattened or hardened.
- Loose perimeter trim or gaps at the jambs.
A seal can only work correctly when the door itself closes and sits properly. If the door is uneven or will not close fully, diagnose the mechanical issue first.
